非常的组织秘书

November 14, 2008 1 comment

Petition to Queen: Batang kali Massacre

February 16, 2008 2 comments

26th day of February 2008

To:

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II,

A Petition to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Brutal Massacre of 24 Villagers

At Batang Kali by the British Army

On the 12th day of December 1948

May it please Your Majesty,

1.            We the undersigned your Humble Petitioners, place a high expectation on the good conscience and magnanimous of the people of the UK and Your Majesty. We write to seek for your majesty’s kindness to use your vast influence to cause the UK government to issue an official apology and grant reasonable compensation to the Chinese communities at Ulu Yam and Batang Kali and the family members and descendants of the massacre victims.  We hereby set out the factual matrix of the incident:-

1.1   On the 12th day of December 1948, about 60 years ago from the present day, a troop of British army of Scotland origin (Scots Guards) detained 25 Ulu Yam villagers at Batang Kali. These villagers were all unarmed innocent commoners with no intention to resist the detention. However, all villagers were shot by the British army without any due investigation or being rightfully heard. All villagers were killed in the incident except one survivor who is still alive in the present day. The barbaric and brutal murder committed by the British army was concealed by the then British colonial government, no one was prosecuted or investigated on account of the brutal massacre.

1.2   In February of 1970, an English press exposed the incident and condemned the brutal massacre. In response to the newspapers’ report, the then Defence Secretary, Mr. Dennis Healy, instructed Scotland Yard to set up a special task team led by Mr. Frank Williams to investigate into the matter. As a result of the investigation, concreate evidence was gathered which shows that the brutal massacre at Batang Kali in December 1948 indeed took place.

1.3   In 1992, BBC broadcasted a series of documentary, unveiling the long- concealed truth of Batang Kali massacre to the people of the UK and to the world. We once thought that with the publicity of the documentary the three- generational injustice, agony and nightmare to the family members and descendants of the victims could finally come to an end, however, nothing was done by the UK government thereafter.

2.            OUR DEMANDS AND PROPOSALS

2.1   As it is now evidently clear that the massacres was committed, lest we forget the mistakes of the past. We shall do all things within our powers to rectify the injustice. We opine that the UK government should take full responsibility of the incident.

2.2   We humbly petition to Your Majesty to kindly use your vast influence to urge the UK government to redress grievances and do justice to the Chinese Community at Ulu Yam and Batang Kali and the family members and descendants of the massacre victims.

2.3   We humbly crave for good conscience and magnanimous of the people of the UK and Your Majesty to materialise our demands, that is to say:-

a)      To appoint an official commissioner to apologise to the Chinese Communities at Ulu Yam and Batang Kali, the family members and descendants of the massacre victims and the survivor of the Massacre;

b)      To grant a reasonable compensation in the sum of Eighty Million Sterling Pound (₤80,000,000.00) only,

i)                    ₤30,000,000.00 of which to be paid to the family members and descendants of the massacre (25 households);

ii)                   ₤25,000,000.00 each to the Chinese Communities at Ulu Yam and Batang Kali for the purposes of educational and cultural development.

3.            We would like to point out here that the mistakes so far committed by the successive Governments in this historically important matter can be obliterated only by acting at least now.

We humbly hope that Your Majesty would consider our proposals.

Yours faithfully,

I was doing my little research on Kedah monarchy when I was linked to this website through google search:

The website seem to be the official website for our monarchy system and naturally it should link me to the Kedah royal family history. So, I found the link to "Kedah" at right side bar and click lo. Then this stupid website appeared:-

Royal Webite copy

Interesting huh?

Petrol Hike

February 28, 2006 8 comments

(28th February, Kuala Lumpur) Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was on the defensive today over the government’s decision to increase the price of petrol and diesel price which caught the public by surprise.

The premier, who is also the finance minister, was bombarded with numerous questions on the issue at a press conference this evening held at the Bank Negara in Kuala Lumpur.

He earlier attended a three-hour closed door briefing with the central bank’s board of directors.

When asked by a journalist to comment on the petrol price hike announced last night, Abdullah instead shot back: Apa pasal? (What about it?)”

The series of unfortunate events climbed to its climax when our once- believed- to- be- good Prime Minister made that kind of statement.

The state- owned Petronas, being one of the most prominent oil producers in the region, making billions of revenue each quarter, yet failed to share the burden of the government’s fuel subsidy. The profits earned by Petronas are allegedly utilised in “other development purposes”. How I wish these “other development purposes” could be revealed to us one day and the profits generated from our country’s natural resources do not fall into wrong hands.

Mr. PM’s clumsy cabinet and inability to solve our nation’s major problems has been increasingly sickening. If circumstances permit me, I will join the protest to be held by Opposition Parties on 3-3-2006 at KLCC.

Mr. PM, your administration really sucks!!!
